Streetcar is back
Our common perception is that streetcar is an old fashioned transporation mode, while many European cities are still keeping them. Seoul removed its extensive streetcar lines in the 1960s. The same was true in American cities where most cities discarded 19th century streetcars except toursim-minded San Francisco. Now streetcar is back to Seattle. Its 2km-long, 11-stop lines were installed recently at the cost of $52million. It begins the service - free for the first month!
