Living for Success

"Goshiwon" in Seoul provides the cheap housing for low-income young age group who are searching for governmental jobs. Poor housing conidtion (mostly without private toilet and shower room and sometimes without adquate sunlight) may be a critical issue, yet why they live the way they do raises the fundermental question about the social adquacy of government hiring system. Its provision of egalitarian opportunity should be highly valued, yet the social cost of this approach need to be carefully analyzed. Isn't there any other way that provide low-income, less-educated people can live with well-paying, stable and self-respecting jobs?

I've also read that article with much interest. The last question seems to be the most important question of Korean society. Behind unbelieveably low unemployment rate figure, we have the deep problem of too many inefficient and low paying jobs but no politician wants to adress the problem.
